The Youth Wing of the All Progressive Congress (APC) members in Ibadan North East Local Government Area launched the Ajumose Safety Ambassador initiative on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at the Local Government Secretariat, Iwo Road, Ibadan. The event which was attended by Members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Commissioners, prominent citizens of Oyo State, also had the presence of the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Oyo State on Education, Dr Bisi Akin-Alabi.

In her address, Dr Bisi Akin-Alabi conveyed His Excellency’s greetings and appreciation of the support the people have shown towards his administration. She appreciated the youths for the initiative they have taken to be Safety Ambassadors in the State, stating that safety and security are of paramount importance to the Governor Abiola Ajimobi led administration. She urged the audience to be vigilant, safety inclined and take necessary actions when the need arises.

Having the OYOMESI (Oyo State Model Educational System Interventions) agenda at heart, she introduced the agenda to the audience, stating the various programmes that are being implemented to attain educational development in Oyo State. She also added that OYOMESI shall collaborate with the youths on School Safety, which constitutes a Strand of the OYOMESI Project, by providing appropriate training for the Safety Ambassadors.
